LOVING WAY BEADS

• Each Salmon colored bead measures approximately 2.5-3 x 10-11mm in size, with strands measuring approximately 26"
• The process of making these beads is unique to Africa and has been used for over 1000 years. Pulverized glass of various colors is poured into a clay mold, using a cassava stem for the bead's hole. The mold is placed in a furnace and heated until the glass particles congeal without actually melting and the stem burns out.
• We chose these beads to support our beloved friend Dawn and her precious son, Waylon’s organization called: LOVING WAY. the process of how they are made reminds us of the fiery trials she and Way have not only survived but thrived in and through.

Loving Way is committed to fighting to end child abuse through advocacy, awareness, and visibility while also bettering the lives of impacted children. The organization was named in honor of McCoy’s son, Waylon, a brave survivor of child abuse suffered at six weeks old.The mission of Loving Way is focused on three central goals: heightening community awareness, providing much-needed resources to families of child abuse victims, and increasing the joy for survivors of childhood abuse and their family and caregivers.
