2025 FALL ROUNDTOP GUIDE
Three Perfect Days in Round Top, Texas
DAY ONE — Road Trip, Rosé & Round Top Charm
There’s something about a fall drive to Round Top that feels like the start of a tradition — the windows down, the playlist humming, and that mix of anticipation and caffeine-fueled chatter that builds somewhere between Dallas and the backroads of Texas.
We left around 9 a.m., road trip snacks in tow, and rolled into Boone & Company just in time for a late lunch. The light-filled back table set the tone for the weekend — cucumber Serrano margaritas, crisp Rose Gold rosé, and colorful salads that tasted like sunshine.
Fueled and ready, we headed straight for Excess 1 & 2, where the treasure hunt began. One of my friends scored an incredible vintage game table (always the best kind of find — the unexpected one). From there, we wandered over to Henkel Square, weaving in and out of favorite shops: Kemosabe, Mod for Marla, Wimberly, House of Yo, and Sapana.
A quick Paloma at Ellis Motel gave us a front-row seat for some of the best people-watching in town. As the day melted into golden hour, we made our way to Bader Ranch to shop ALL our favs (Sissy Light, Stash Style, Sapeyka, Lady Captain, Miron Crosby, and more), soak in the view, and watch the sun dip behind the hills before dinner at Y Comida — a long, laughter-filled meal that was, as always, absolutely divine.
DAY TWO — Blue Hills, Market Magic & Sunset Bubbles
Day Two began my favorite way: coffee on the porch, a little quiet before the day’s treasure hunt.
Our first stop — and my forever favorite — was Blue Hills. With its airy barns and wide-open layout, it’s everything you want Round Top to be. Boots and hats. Art and antiques. The perfect mix of old-world beauty and Texas soul.
A few of my go-to spots:
- Fraulein & Arloom tents with Gather Goods & Carla Valencia
- Maison Miral for European antiques+artists Lindsey Meyer & Laura Petka
- Tent 3 — Sunday Supper, Lindsey Castles Gold, and arriving next week, Kate Swail Designs
Don’t miss the Round Top Makers Market, hosted by Hibiscus Linens — it’s an inspiring showcase of craftsmanship and creativity.
From there, we made our way to Market Hill, a must for any serious Round Top weekend. We stopped by Susan Wheeler’s stunning vintage and home store, peeked into Federico’s first-ever pop-up, picked up our favorite Susan Horn candles, and recharged with a cold beverage from Duo.
Our next stop was Lady Lancaster’s Honey Hut, where we tried on her incredible wearable art — each piece as joyful as the designer herself. Then on to The Arbors, a treasure trove of style and stories. We browsed Double D Ranch and Chieffalo, chatted with Ashley in her iconic hat airstream, and hugged Sylvia at Pata, one of the sweetest souls in the scene.
As the sun began to fade, we made one last stop at Jardin de France for sunset bubbles, followed by a lively dinner at Lulu’s — all candlelight and conversation. But Round Top has a way of keeping you out just a little longer, so we ended the night under twinkle lights at 550 Market, treasure hunting at Moontower Vintage’s newly relocated space.
DAY THREE — One Last Loop & A Promise to Return
Sunday mornings in Round Top always feel a little bittersweet — equal parts excitement and nostalgia. We hit the ground running, squeezing in last-minute stops at The Compound and The Horseshoe before heading out of town.
Lunch was simple and perfect: Artisan & Vine’s famous chicken salad at Blue Hills, a go-to before the drive home.
The only thing we didn’t make it to this time? The Fields — the heat won out, but that’s a stop best saved for early morning next round, coffee in hand.
As we packed the car, our finds tucked neatly in the back, I couldn’t help but smile. Three days of beauty, laughter, and discovery — all in a tiny Texas town that somehow feels like the center of the world twice a year.
Til Next Time, Round Top
Thank you for the golden light, the friendships rekindled, and the treasures found. You never disappoint — and I already can’t wait to be back next week.
